Abstract
The Hydrogenation of cis-isoeugenol using Catalysts that difference in acidity, spesific surface area, pore volume and average pore radius, was carried out. This reaction occurred for 200oC for 2 hours and the product was analyzed by Gas Chromatography. The results showed that increasing the acidity, spesific surface area and pore volume of Catalyst, yielded higher amount of 2-methoxy-4-prophylphenol. In contrast, increasing the average pore radius of Catalyst resulted in decreasing of amount of 2-methoxy-4-prophylphenol.
