Abstract
Testosterone is a male hormone that can be extracted from sea cucumber. This study aims to determine the mixing speed and mixing time on reflux extraction process of sea cucumber which produces the highest testosterone and antifungal. The mixing speed used in this study was 800 rpm and 900 rpm, while the mixing time was 4, 5, and 6 hours. This study uses Completely Random Design factorial experiment with 3 times replications. The results showed that the average results of testosterone obtained at the highest mixing speed of 800 rpm was 0.0946 mg / g (dry weight, dw), followed by 900 rpm as big as 0.0768 mg/g. The longer the mixing, the more weight gained testosterone, which obtained the highest results at 6 hours was 0.0957 mg/g (dw), 5 hours (0.0830 mg/g ) and 4 hours weighing 0.0783 mg/g (dw).
