Abstract
Indispensable steam to turn turbines and for the purposes boiling at a palm oil mill, produced by boilers. Steam quality depends on the quality of the combustion chamber. The fuel quality depending on the heating value of the fuel used. Fuel used at factory of palm oil is fibers and shell is which fibers and shell composition with the comparison, fibers 70% and shell 30%. The fuel heating value of fibers and shell calculated by using the formula of Dulong and Petit, later then the heating value from calculation compared by oil heating value and coal heating value from literature. The Highest Heating Value (HHV) and Lowest Heating Value (LHV) on the fibers and shell is small compared to the heating value of oil and coal despite having little value fibers and shell still efficient enough to fuel a boiler because availability of fuel are still pretty much in the factory of palm oil.
