Abstract

Centryfugal Pumping Unit (CPU) of Goulds 3196 is a pump that uses a centryfugal system. According to data obtained from known fields ρcrude oil is 806.88 kg/m3, and Z is 11.04 m. Then the calculation of the value of headloss, input value of the pump motor power (Pm) is 30.096 kW, the pump power (Pp) is 26.888 kW, pump inlet pressure (P1) is 6.8x104 N/m2 , the pump exit pressure (P2) is 42x104 N/m2, suction pipe diameter (d1) is 0.1524 m, the diameter of the pipe exit (d2) is 0.1116 m, flow rate (Q) is 0.16932 m3/s. Suction pipe in order to get the speed (Vs) is 0.9286 m/s, and the exit pipe velocity (Vd) is 1.73164 m/s. For the results obtained from the calculation of the total headloss (hlosstotal) 44.78 m. Thus obtained total head on the pump type Centryfugal Pumping Unit (CPU) is equal to 100.53 m. According to results, it can be concluded that the type of Centryfugal Pumping Unit (CPU) used are ideal because the value of the pump head is larger than the total headloss value and efficiency pump 89.3%
