Abstract

This research aims to find out the correlation of Students‟ Reading Strategies and Their Reading Achievement of English Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. This research used quantitative method with correlational design. The data of this research were collected by using questionnaire and checklist. While, the data analysis technique used mean and percentage to analyze the data. From the result, the students were mostly use cognitive strategies than metacognitive strategies, while their achievement was categorized as good since their score mostly at very high predicate. Then, from the correlation, it was found that there were no correlation between students‟ reading strategies and their reading achievement, proved by rcount was 0.089 which is below rtable 0.2181.
