Abstract

This research was conducted to mapping the potential of landslide as a baseline of spatial arrangement based on natural hazard mitigation in Kepahiang Regency, Province of Bengkulu. Survey methode was applied with spatial analisys of landslide executed in Geographical Information System. The result showed that most of area in Kepahiang regency have landslide potential in the level of midle and high. The area with highly level of this vurnerable was 16.528,10 ha (26,70%), while area with midle level of it was 49.971,90 ha (73,30%). There is no area with low level of vurnerable from landslide. Sub district of Ujan Mas was widely region with high level of vurnerable from landslide (3.703,98 ha) while Tebat Karai was the smallest area with high level of vurnerable from landslide (201,37 ha). Althought only 26,70% of area that higly potential hitting by landslide, susceptibility of this area to landslide will increase because of human activity that ignoring the land capability.
