Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the time allocation of independent learning, spent time to working in groups on the outcomes GPA and the relationship between the allocation of time independent learning, spent the time to working in groups and use of learning facilities to the achievement of cumulative grade students from the Sociology Department, Faculty of Social Sciences Political Science, University of Bengkulu Forces from 2010 to 2013. Behavioral studies using the theory of sociology and quantitative methods descriptive. The population in this study is a student of Sociology, with the number of 112 people. Samples of the respondents were 112 active student of sociology. The techniques in this study using chi square test, product moment correlation, partial first level, second level partial and multiple correlation. The results of chi square in the study showed that there was difference in the time allocated independent study of the achievements of GPA with the result count is biger than the critical value (47,462 >16,919), as well as the allocation of time working in groups on the outcomes GPA no difference because the results count less than the critical value (2,303 <12,592). The correlation study showed that self-learning time allocation related to GPA student achievement sociology, this is evidenced by the results of correlation Product Moment is 0,302 9% significant influence on the level of 95%. Allocation of time to study groups associated with the interpretation of student achievement index, this is evidenced by the results of the test product moment correlation of 0,255 and a great effect of 6% is significant at 95% level. There is a relationship between the use of learning facilities with cumulative grade student achievement, this is evidenced by the results of the test product moment correlation of 0,208 and a great effect of 4% is significant at 95% level.
