Abstract

This study aimed to find categories of study habits of the successful 4th semester students of the English education study program of University of Bengkulu. The population of this study was the 4th semester students of the English education study program of University of Bengkulu who had a GPA of 3.51 to 4.00. The methodology of this research was descriptive quantitative. The data were collected by using a questionnaire consisted of 50 items based on the Study Habits Inventory which explored information about students' study habits. The data were analysed by using a sample statistical analysis to find the categories of students' study habits. The results revealed that 97% or the majority of the successful students had a study habit score of 110 and were at the average level, a very few or 3% of students had a high score of 143,148 and were in the good category, and none or 0% of students had poor study habits. Study habit is one of the factors that can help students in their academic achievements. A good study habit can contribute to improve students' problems in the learning process.
