Abstract

D1E013014 This study aims to find out the strategic plan made by the Department Of Tourism And Creative Economy city of bengkulu in developing and marketing tourism in Bengkulu city , as well as the factors - factors that affect the marketing communication strategy. The benefits of this research is to add the author's experience through research done and can provide information to those who pay attention to the world of tourism and development. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, documents and literature studies. This research was conducted at the Department Of Tourism And Creative Economy. Primary data was collected through observation and interviews. While secondary data obtained through the study of literature is books, literature and websites - internet sites that have strong relevance to the object of research. The results showed that that marketing communication strategy undertaken by the Department Of Tourism And Creative Economy city of bengkulu include marketing mix that is: advertising, events and experiences, personal selling, publicity, the marketing of mouth in Bengkulu city tourism marketing can increase tourist visits were come to Bengkulu city. The supporting factors marketing communication strategy that is done is development of information and communication technology. While the inhibiting factor is the limited staff of tourism and creative economy of Bengkulu City who are experts and really understand about marketing communications, lack of budget funds, and still limited facilities to conduct promotion in the Office of Tourism and Creative Economy of Bengkulu City.
