Abstract

This study aims to describe the habit of consuming instant noodles among students boarding. This research method using descriptive qualitative. Informant selection is done by snowball sampling technique. Data collection is done by indepth interview and observation. Data analysis is done simultaneously along with data collecting process by using technique which commonly applied in qualitative research which include data reduction, data presentation, and arrive at conclusion to get concepts as result of research. The results showed that the habit of consuming instant noodles among students of boarding children is one of the needs of today. Instant noodle something that is easy to get in today everywhere including in small stalls because the price is affordable. Instant noodles are like their staple food, at an affordable price, good taste, more practical and more economical. The results of the research that occurred in the field have four factors the habit of consuming instant noodles among college students. First, eating habits. Second, the frequency of eating. Third, Survive. Fourth, instant culture.
