Abstract

This paper describes a rectangular microstrip antenna with 3 patches for multiband resonance frequencies using arrays. From the results of research using CST software simulation, the resonance frequency is 1.8 GHz, 2.4 GHz, 3.3 GHz, 4.4 GHz, 6 GHz, 6.8 GHz and 8.6 GHz with omnidirectional radiation pattern. The design of multiband antenna is in line with the antenna operational standard of return loss value exceeding the minimum limit of -10 dB and VSWR of <2. By combining several patches of different size, one with the other, by means of arraying, it will generate the desired multiband on the antenna, while making the slot on the patch antenna will decrease the return loss value so that the antenna performance will be better.
