Abstract
Pakcoy is one of the horticultural crops that is a vegetable that is popular with the community because of the economical price and rich in nutrition and a fairly short harvest life (30-35 days). The use of chemicals in aquaculture activities is very often found, this can cause a decrease in soil quality, soil fertility, and soil structure. To overcome this overall use of organic materials is one of the best solutions, namely by using chicken manure and TKKS compost. The purpose of this study was to obtain a dose of OPEFB compost, chicken manure, and interactions between OPEFB compost and chicken manure on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants. The research, which was conducted from March to April 2017, was carried out at Lab's gauze house. Soil Science, Bengkulu University. This research was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the dose of OPEFB compost ie 0 tons / ha, 5 tons / ha, 10 tons / ha, 15 tons / ha, and 20 tons / ha, the second factor is the dose of chicken manure which is 0 tons / ha, 5 tons / ha , 10 tons / ha, 15 tons / ha, 20 tons / ha, 25 tons / ha, 30 tons / ha, 35 tons / ha, and 40 tons / ha. The results showed that the OPEFB compost treatment and chicken manure had interactions on leaf area, number of leaves and root wet weight, plant dry weight and root dry weight of pakcoy plants. The use of compost OPEFB can increase plant height growth while the treatment of chicken manure can increase plant height growth, leaf area, number of leaves, level of greenness of leaves, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, root wet weight and root dry weight of pakcoy plants. The results showed a positive interaction with 10 tons / ha OPEFB compost and 35 tons / ha of chicken manure on leaf area, number of leaves, root wet weight, and root dry weight of Pakcoy plants. Keyword: Pakcoy, OPEFB, Chicken Manure.
