Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility on Financial Performance (Return On assets and Return On Equity). The sample in this study is the airline companies that exist worldwide for the period 2018-2020. The sample in the study was 30 manufacturing companies. The data analysis used in this study was done with a simple regression analysis. The results showed that Corporate Social Responsibility did not affect Return on Asset. This means that the more companies carry out corporate social responsibility, then the company will incur additional costs that are not small in number. Expenses due to these costs will certainly affect the company's profit processing. Corporate social responsibility does not affect the return on equity. This means that this study is not in line with the Theory of Legitimacy, which causes profits to decrease so that the value of ROE also automatically decreases.
