This research aims to find out the fillers and its function used by a female and a male teacher in Kelantan Malaysia. The subject of this research is an experienced female and male teacher in high school in Kelantan, Malaysia. This research was using descriptive quantitative as the methodology and the data was collected by checklist data sheet as an instrument. The checklist consisted of 8 items which represent the fillers base on its types and its function. This research uses R ose’s and Stensstorm theory The result of data analysis shows that both a female and a male teacher use more unlexicalized fillers than lexicalized filler with the percentage 82.7% : 17.3% for a female teacher and 76.5% : 23.5% for a male teacher. Filling was used as the most use of function of fillers by both teachers with the mean score 66.07%, followed by mark of hesitation with the mean score 17.45% and followed with mark oh hesitation with the mean score 17.45%. From the results, it is concluded that people tend to use unlexicalized fillers rather than lexicalized fillers commonly use them as filling pause
