Abstract

Experts have been a lot of research on e-learning, especially research on e-learning as a tool for learning and teaching, the research is still biased not comprehensive. This study aims to find out How to designbuild an e-learning program and what the role of e-learning in teaching Physics, particularly its role as a transmitter of teaching materials as well as teachers. This is important because sometimes lecturers unable to attend, but students should still learn, it can be helped by the e-learning program. This paper describes the development activities of the e-learning program that includes analysis, design, coding, and testing, as well as the role of e-learning in the learning sample collection technique using total sampling with the number of students of 80 people consisting of students of chemical education class S1 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. The results showed that, the e-learning program is implemented through modules e-learning, the role of e-learning in the category "quite instrumental" score of 3.44 (scale 1-5). While the e-learning program relationship with his role in the learning of Physics by the theoretical mean for the medium category + high / strong + very high /strong amounted to 91.25%, while the category of low / weak at 8.75%. When based on realistic medium category mean + high / strong + very high / strong amounted to 76.25%, while the category of low / weak + very low / weak at 23.75%.
