Abstract
Objective of this study was to evaluate the financial feasibility of pepper farming in Kunduran of South Sumatera. A survey was conducted with stratified random sampling technique. The strata were applied to the farmer who have pepper plants ranged from 1 to 12 years old. Descriptive and investment criteria analyses was used for evaluation. The results showed that the investment required for 1 ha pepper production was Rp. 36.363.400, 00 and operational cost was Rp. 198.006.700,00. If the annual interest rate is 15%, the NPV would be Rp. 46.311.720,00; gross B/C ratio 1.5; and IRR 37.50%. Base on this criteria, the pepper production in Kunduran was financially feasible.
