Abstract
The aim of this study is to find out the influence of the use of role-playing techniques assisted by audio-visual media on the ability to speak in eleventh grade students of SMAN 9 Bengkulu Selatan. Is there a significant difference in the ability of students language expression mastrey that are taught using audio- assisted role playing methods of visual media with classes who only use the method of roleplay without visual audio media. This research was done in September 2023. The population in this study was eleventh grade students of SMAN 9 Bengkulu Selatan. The number of second-grade students is divided into six classes. With the method of purposive sampling technique, the researcher selected 2 classes with the lowest averages as a sample with a total of 67 students. The method used is quantitative using pre-test and post-test. This research objects were divided into two control classes and experimental classes. Before giving treatment, the researcher conduct an initial test to determine their initial abilities and then conduct a final test to see if there is any improvement. Based on the results of data analysis using t-test calculations in the SPSS for Windows 23 Program, it shows that the post-test score in the t-test obtained is
