Abstract

This studyaimed to investigate thecorrelation betweenstudents’ autonomous learningandstudents’ academic achievement through correlational research design. Thedatawere collected from45students, itwas from 122 of total populationat English teacher training programin Universitas Bengkulu. Theinstrumentisthe questionnaire consist of 38 items and document to gain students’GPA.Theresultshowed that students had “high”level ofautonomous learning with themean value on 114.78. They were also had “high”level of academicachievement with the mean valueof GPA on 3.52.Thefindings showed thatthe significancevalue (p-value)was on0.013 lower than 0.05. Then, thestrength of correlationwas in thelow level with Pearson correlation value(r-value) was on 0.295.Therewas apositive, significant correlation between students’ autonomous learningand students’ academic achievement. So, the alternativehypothesis (H1)was acceptedthat there wasa positive, significant correlation between students’autonomous learningand students’ academic achievement.
