Abstract

Air Kedurang irrigation area there are numbers of channels cracked, covered by wild plants and residents who change land use. Therefore, the researcher did the research about the efficiency of irrigation water distribution. The purpose of this study are to determine the efficiency of secondary and tertiary channels, determine the value of water loss during distribution, and analyze the factors that cause water loss (evaporation and seepage). The method of this research are carried out by collecting secondary data, namely irrigation schema and evaporation data also primary data are the inflow and outflow value along the canal using a current meter tool. The results of this analysis are the efficiency of the average secondary channel of 85,910 % is not in accordance with the theoretical efficiency of KP-01, namely secondary channels sekunder 90 % and the efficiency value of the tertiary channel average of 53,492 % is not in accordance with the theoretical efficiency of KP-01, namely tertiary channel ≥ 80 %. The average percentage of water loss in secondary channels is 14,090 % and the percentage of average water loss in tertiary channels is 46,508 %. The value of water loss in secondary channels due to the greatest evaporation is found in BM 1 with a value of 2,175 x 10 m3/sec and the value of water loss in tertiary channels due to the greatest evaporation is found in M4Kn with a value of 1,863x 10-6 m3/sec. The largest seepage value on the secondary channel is found in BM 2 with a value of 3,643 x 10-5 mm/day and the largest seepage value in tertiary channels is at M5 KN with a value of 3,936 x 10-5 mm/day.
