Abstract

This research aimed to find out how Integrating react strategy and digital media literacy improved the students‟ speaking accuracy in Baitul Izzah Elementary School Kota Bengkulu. The students still have many problems with speaking, they have nothing to say, worried about being criticized, embarrassed if make a mistake and elementary students feel bored when they only study with textbooks. This research applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The respondents of this research were the fourth-grade students in class B Baitul Izzah Elementary School of Kota Bengkulu in the academic year 2022/2023 which consisted of 28 students. Integrating REACT Strategy and digital media literacy happened in each stage. The most improvement happened in applying and cooperating stages. In the applying and cooperating stages, the students did the English speaking test by integrating with digital media literacy. The result showed that integrating react strategy and digital media literacy can improve the students‟ speaking accuracy in terms of vocabulary. The improvement was shown by the students‟ average score in terms of vocabulary in the cycle 1 test (73,89) that included into “satisfactory” category and the average score in cycle 2 test was (83,46) that included into “very good” category. It means that the students got 12.95% of improvement after getting actions for two cycles. It can be concluded that integrating react strategy and digital media literacy improved the students‟ speaking accuracy in Baitul Izzah Elementary School Kota Bengkulu. For further research, it is suggested to be able to conduct research with a different research subject and focus. Key Words: Speaking Accuracy, REACT strategy, Digital Media Literacy
