Abstract

The mixed method research aimed to analyze the implementation of the Teaching Module based on Kurikulum Merdeka in teaching English at SMPN 01 in Bengkulu city. The subjects of this research were two English teachers and students at seventh grade at SMPN 01 in Bengkulu city. This research used three instruments which were questionnaire, document analysis, and interview. The questionnaire instrument used is a closed questionnaire with Likert scale. The questionnaire data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The analysis document is carried out by focusing only on the core components of the teaching module based on the Kurikulum Merdeka. The data from the interview were analyzed by using The Miles and Huberman (2014) model. The result showed that, In the implementation of teaching module that have been developed by English teachers into the teaching process was achieved in the Very Good category, it is seen based on the results of teacher questionnaires data. It was also found that the suitability of teaching modules that had been developed by teachers based on the Kurikulum Merdeka with a conformity percentage score of 94.4% with a Very Good category. It can be said that the learning process has taken place well according to the teaching module based on the Kurikulum Merdeka. However, there are several weaknesses so need to be improved.
