Abstract
This research focuses on identifying the types of errors in translating abstracts on Agriculture from English into Indonesian by fifth-semester students of the Study Program at Bengkulu University. The study, involving 25 students, analyzes their translations to identify and categorize errors according to Sirena's (2001) classification system. This research utilized qualitative methods.The findings reveal that the most frequent errors include misspellings (31%), wrong terminology (29.5%), miscellaneous errors (18.3%), omissions (9.6%), syntactic errors (6.6%), structural and agreement errors (4.5%), and punctual errors (0.35%). Spelling errors were identified as the most frequently occurring errors, highlighting the importance of careful consideration when translating English vocabulary and meanings into Indonesian
