Abstract

The objective of this research was to know and describe about An Analysis of Educational Values in the Novel “Totto-chan (the Little Girl at the Window)” written by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. This research was designed by using descriptive method; it’s use to get the description about somethingby analyzing, interpreting, and concluding. In this case the reseacher described about An Analysis of Educational Values in the Novel “Totto-chan (the Little Girl at the Window)” written by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. This Novel was published by Kodansha International, Tokyo 1981. It consists of 213 pages and 16 sub-titles. In collecting the data the researcher used documentation technique. And done some steps, firstly Read the Novel carefully, in this case the researcher reads and re-reads the Novel “Totto-chan (the Little Girl at the Window) written by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi”. After that the researcher made a synopsis of the Novel Novel “Totto-chan (the Little Girl at the Window) written by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi”, and that marked on the parts that have conection with four kinds of the educational values (moral, religius, cultural, and social values). Based on the result of the research above, so the researcher suggests; (a) the research about intrinsic elements of the noval is still less, so the researcher hopes that the further students can take the other title especially about novel to get many information of the novel itself such as; educational values as something that had been done by researcher. (b) the litelature or prose lecturers can use the result on this research as one of their resource knowledge for their material in the classroom.
