Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the effect of composition revision to the third semester of English Study Program of Universitas Bengkulu students writing achievement in academic years 2005/2006. The research design was a Pre-Experimental. The population of research was the third semester students of English Study Program of FKIP-Universitas Bengkulu 2004/2005 academic year. There were 42 students who took writing II. Researcher took all population as sample. The instrument of this research was writing test, which was given to the students as their pre and post-test. The result of writing test scored by two scorers. The post-test was given after giving the treatment. The result of the research was the t-count is higher than the t-table. The t-count is 7,866 while the t-table is 2,000. It indicate that the results of the post-test are higher than pre-test. It can be considered that revising composition is effective.
