Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate the activity of giving oral feedback to the students at MAN 1 Curup. The problem in this research were: 1) “What kinds of oral feedback were applied by English teachers to the students at MAN 1 Curup”?, 2) What are oral feedback frequently used by the English teachers. The design of this research was descriptive method. The population of this research was all English teachers who teach at MAN 1 Curup. The sample of this research is total sampling. Total numbers of the sample are four English teachers. It means the population becomes the sample. The data of this research was collected by observing the teacher in teaching. The result of this research showed that there are many kinds of oral feedback frequently used by the English teacher at MAN 1 Curup in teaching English. The conclusion of the research showed that oral feedback used by the English teacher of MAN 1 CURUP, Rejang Lebong in teaching English was categorized less. The kinds of oral feedback frequently used by the English teachers of MAN 1 CURUP were, by giving praise, advice, correction and direction (75 %). This positive oral feedback will help and motive the students in order they have enthusiastic in learning
