Abstract

This research is aimed at increasing of learning achievement in math through the problem solving based classroom to Improve the quality of teaching and learning processes and student’s math achievement at State Junior High School No. 1 Lubuklinggau. The method of this research used the action research. The action research is the activity to solve the problem consists of; a) planning, b) action, c) observation d) reflecting. This research discussed about the model of problem solving based classroom to Improve the quality of teaching and learning processes and student’s math achievement of State Junior High School No. 1 Lubuklinggau. The subject of this research ware the teacher and students of class VII I of students of State Junior High School No. 1 Lubuklinggau. The result of the first siclus was 43.63% and the observation of the students shawed of 49.09%. Based on the result of the data analyzed and reflection data on the first siclus showed that only 5 students who reached the mastery learning, this means that only 12,5% of the students who have mastered the math taught. The mean of first siclus is 44,12 and t-test of siclus I is 4,349. means that the mastery hasn’t been result of the showed 58,36% and the students observation sub shoved the result of 54,45%. It was that only 72,5% of those students or 14 students who mastered the math taught. The mean of siclus II was 61,50. the score of t-test II was 11.360. The result of the third siclus 87,27% obtained by the observation sheets and the students’ sheets showed 89,09%. Thus the analyzing and reflection data on the third siclus, was found that the students who got the mastery learning ware 35 students (87,5%) . The mean siclus of III was 66,88, the score of t-test III. Was 4.408, so that mastery learning has been reached. The conclusion of this investigation statesthat theapplication of problem solving based classroom can to Improve the quality of teaching and learning processes and student’s math achievement at State Junior High School No. 1 Lubuklinggau.
