Abstract

The main objective of this study is to describe vocational preparation high school teachers’ professionalism at Public Vocational High School Number 3 Lubuklinggau City. The specific objective are to describe about : (1) teachers’ professionalism at vocational high school seen in fact of teachers’ educational background, (2) teachers’ professionalism at vocational high school seen in fact of the teachers’ performance, (3) teachers’ professionalism at vocational high school seen in fact of the teachers’ mutation, (4) teachers’ professionalism at vocational high school seen in fact of the teachers’ social culture, and (5) teachers’ professionalism at vocational high school seen in fact of the teachers’ effort. This research used the descriptive-qualitative method. The data were gathered from the school principal, the teachers, the head of Educational Department of Lubuklinggau, the vocational schools’ supervisors and the school committee. The data were collected by using a set of techniques, observation, interviews and documentation. The data where then analyzed by using reduction data, preparation data and make the conclusion or verification data. The result of this research showed that the teachers’ educational background, teachers’ performances, mutation, social culture and the teachers’ effort of vocational public high school teachers’ professionalism various appeared in the school.
