Abstract
In the process of recidence development in Bengkulu city, a well thought consideration in deciding the location of recidence is absolutely needed. It is because of the position of Bengkulu city which is relatively in flat tophography causes flood in several territories and Bengkulu is located the area of subjects to earthquakes and many other factors. This research is aimed to find out the factors of society consideration in deciding the location of recidence in Bengkulu city. This research was done using Questtionaire distribution method in amount of 160 questionnaire sheets and interview. The sample of research was choosen in 5 subdistricts, Muara Bangkahulu, Ratu Agung, Teluk Segara, Sungai Serut and Selebar subdistrict. The result of questionnaire was analyzed using SPSS 17.0 program. The result of analysist elaborated that the questionnaire of the selection of residence location according to perception of socitey in Bengkulu city was able to represent the factor of location selection in amount of 65.911%. The variable of factors which became the priorities in selecting the location of recidence according to perception of society in Bengkulu city are the price of house with the percentage of 88.7%, the price of land with percentage of 87.6% and land area with percentage of 81.4%.
