Abstract
The objective of this research was to know what factors influence the students’ participation in speaking classes at the third semester students of Universitas of Bengkulu. The population of this research was all the students at the third semester in class A and B who took speaking classes and all of population was taken as sample of this research. The data was collected by using the questionnaire with 4 (four) alternative answers, namely: SS (Sangat Setuju), S (Setuju), TS (Tidak Setuju), STS (Sangat Tidak Setuju). The result of this research was found that the highest influence factors was the Implication and Consideration (86.3%), the second percentage is Psychological Environment (76.1%), followed by The Role of the Teacher in the Classroom Environment and Measuring Classroom Environment (68.6%). The next are Classroom Climate (63.7%) and the lowest percentage was the Physical Environment (63.7%).
