Abstract

Problems in this study is "What is the sorting box Play method can improve memory of children to learning geometry in group B2 Al-Khair Kindergarten Bengkulu ". The objectives of this study were: To determine whether the application of the play Sorting Box method can improve memory of children to learning geometry and to determine whether to play Sorting Box can assist children in identifying, drawing and playing games on the geometrical shape in B2 group AL-Khair Kindergarten Bengkulu. This study is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was designed by two cycles, the first cycle of introducing geometric shapes with images and the second cycle by playing sorting boxes. The object of this study is the group of Al- Khair B2 PAUD Bengkulu city, amounting to 10 people consisting of 4 girls and 6 boys. From the results of a study on the cycle indicates that the memory ability of children to form in the classical geometry is in the value (60%) is not yet to achieve completeness in the classical learning, whereas in cycle 2 indicates that the memory ability of children to form in the classical geometry is in the (80%) means you've reached completeness in the classical learning. From the results of the study saw an increase in the ability of students to learning geometry shape sorting box with play. From the research results can be concluded that the play box can improve memory sorting of children to geometric shapes in the B2 group Al-Khair Kindergarten Bengkulu. Sorting box games can improve children's ability to match geometric shapes, children can improve their skills in drawing geometric shapes and can enhance children's ability to recognize geometric shapes in his life.
