Abstract

The research aimed to know the form and level of the people participation in the national program of independent villagers’ efficiency at Teras Terunjam District Mukomuko Regency. The research has used qualitative and quantitative method. The result shown that participation forms of the people in PNPM-MPd: a) directly attend all the stages of activity applications as of planning, implementation and perpetuation, b) actively play a part in discussions that conducted by PNPM-MPd, c) contributing suggestions for the need of their own village development, d) participated in deciding the suggestions to become priority of the development, e) participated in the process of implementing the activities, f) controlling and evaluating the result of development, g) reporting deviations, if they were present in application of the activities. All of the participation forms were conducted in whole stages of application of the PNPM-MPd’s activities. Whereas participation level of the people has resulted the highest level in the Discussion of Suggestions. Considering in both of the stages are initial stages of planning in collecting all aspirations of the people that conclude reference for the next stages.
