Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the dominant sector (leading) in the District of Mukomuko, Bengkulu Province based on GDP and employment. The analytical method used is Location Quotient (LQ), shift share and overlay. LQ analysis is techniques used to identify a basic sector (leading) ana non-base in District of Mukomuko compared to the Province of Bengkulu. Shift Share analysis is used to determine the displacement and the role of economic sectors in District of Mukomuko. From the analysis conducted by GDP, it is known that the dominant sector in the District of Mukomuko is the manufacturing and financial sector, leasing and corporate services. When viewed on workforce, the District Mukomuko sectors are agriculture, forestry, hunting and fishing. When these two criteria (GDP and labor) are combined, it can be conclude that the agricultural sector is seeded in the District of Mukomuko.
