Abstract

This research is a case study that will be conducted in a state-owned company engaged in the plantation in Indonesia, the Company Persero ( Persero ) PT . PTPN VII Padang Pelawi Business Unit and Business Unit Ketahun the gentleness in the province of Bengkulu , which is in District Seluma and North Bengkulu . The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the principles of corporate governance ( GCG ) on the implementation of practice conducted by the firm as well as provide an overview of the application and comparison, GCG implementation in two business units.On the principle of good corporate governance ( GCG ) in which there is the principle of openness , accountability , responsibility , Indenpendensi , and fairness . Data collection methods used in this study were interviews and questionnaires in two business units that become GCG comparison . The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method . To see the magnitude of the gap is done by using the Gap Analysis .Results of this study also showed that the company's motivation is to implement the principles of good corporate governance as a whole , to meet the expectations of stakeholders , gain legitimacy , and won some awards . In the Business Unit field Pelawi GCG gap by 25,2 % , while in the Business Unit Ketahun 12,6% . That is, the implementation of GCG is completely realized in two business unit. Another result obtained , namely , the implementation of GCG in Ketahun more leverage Business Unit Ketahun implemented than Business Unit Padang Pelawi by a margin of 12,6 % .
