Abstract
The purposes of this study are to work out ways to activate students and how students’ achievement in learning integral calculus in a short semester by applying peer tutor. This is an action research study. This study concludes that ways to to activate students in learning integral calculus in a short semester by applying peer tutor are : (a) Choosing peer tutors who are students’ classmates having the best achievement in learning integral calculus; (b) Dividing students in to some groups based on their class and mark of integral calculus that they had before; (c) Asking students to answer questions in a group with peer tutor helps; (d) Announcing that students’ presentation will influence marks of other students in the same group; (e) Choosing students who will represent their group to present their group’s work; (f) Asking students to give comments on other groups’ work. Learning integral calculus in a short semester by applying peer tutor can increase students’ achievement.
