Abstract
This research is aimed to identify the impact of the leadership style to employees performance and to prove that motivtion as an intervening variable affects to the relationship between leadership style and employees performance. Questionnaires were distributed to employees of Bengkulu University by stratified sampling. The result indicated that leadership style affected the employees performance. The result also indicated that leadership style did not affect the motivation. The motivation also did not affect the employees performance. It meant the motivation as an intervening variable was unporovable in this research.
