Abstract
Thermal properties of materials is very important in the calculation of the heat transfer energy. The data of the thermal properties of materials are available. But, for some materials, all of data are still required measurement of properties. Generally measureting of thermal properties include determine of heat flow and temperature. After testing on aluminum and brass with temperature variation by solder 30 watts, the temperature distribution is obtained. Aluminum thermal conductivity values obtained average is 207.34 W/(moC)at a temperature of 70 ˚C. 206.85 W/(moC)at a temperature of 80 ˚C and 90 ˚C temperature obtained 208.07 W/(moC), whereas for the brass at a temperature of 70 ˚ C obtained 149.85 W/(moC). At temperatures of 80 ˚ C is obtained 152.86 W/(moC)and 90 ˚ C temperature obtained 157.75 W/(moC), compared with a reference that is k aluminum 202-206 W/(mC)and brass k 109 - 160 W/(moC), then this value was approximately correct. Then the test by not using silicon paste at each connection made at a temperature of 90 ˚C and the obtained values of k Aluminum 177.55 W/(moC)while the value of k brass obtained 88.38 W/(moC).
