Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of personal factors (locus of control, self-efficacy, and anxiety) on the behavior of escalation of commitment in the capital budget. Respondents who participated in this study were 60 students who have taken the course management accounting, budgeting, and behavioral accounting.Data was collected through questionnaires for variable locus of control, self-efficacy, anxiety and case scenarios for variable escalation of commitment. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple linear regression analysis. The test results prove that the locus of control positive effect on the escalation of commitment. While self-efficacy and anxiety does not affect the escalation of commitment
