PENYELESAIAN DELIK ADAT NYOBONG DI LEMBAGA ADAT KUTEI KECAMATAN KEPAHIANG KABUPATEN KEPAHIANG

Customary institutions have an important role in solving any traditional problems
that occur in Kepahiang District Kepahiang District, therefore all customary
decisions must be obeyed. The whole process of resolving the “Nyobong”
traditional offense at the Kutei Customary Institution of Kepahiang District
Kepahiang Regency is a punishment that causes shame to the perpetrators, on the
other hand for other indigenous community members it becomes a lesson not to
violate other customary norms. The positive aspects that can be drawn in the
resolution of Nyobong violations in the Rejang adat community of Kepahiang
District Kepahiang Regency can be resolved in harmony and peace that provide a
comprehensive solution, appease the community, and deliberate in a family with
the fairest, quick, and simple manner. The purpose of this study is to describe the
process of resolving the Nyobong adat offense at the Kutei Customary Institution
of Kepahiang District, Kepahiang District and to determine the form of sanctions
in resolving the Nyobong adat delict at the Kutei Adat Institution of Kepahiang,
Kepahiang District. The method used in this research is descriptive with an
empirical legal approach. Primary and secondary data collection techniques. The
results of the author's research, namely 1) The process of resolving the "Nyobong"
traditional offense at the Kutei Customary Institution of Kepahiang District
Kepahiang District carried out several stages, namely by reporting citizens, then
conducting a customary hearing, then a procession called tedamai. 2) The form of
sanctions in resolving “Nyobong” Customary offenses at the Kutei Customary
Institution of Kepahiang District Kepahiang District there are 3, namely: 1) Betel
basket fine, 2) Burning the cage, 3) Signing an agreement.
