Abstract

In our country, problems poverty have been long enough become govermental
food for thought. Food represent one of elementary requirement of human being to
reach good nutrition status, so that enough or do not food will very is determining
quality of human life. Food role for example to keep in good health, as energi in
running everyday activity and most off all once take care of the continuity of life.
With the existence of difference way of used appliance and job, amount of obtained
haul also will differ. The mentioned cause earnings which will different so also with
accomplishment of requirement food also different.
Aim of reserch are to know nutrition and food consume pattern of owner
fisherman and crew in Malabero sub district, to know nutrition and food sufficiency
level of owner fisherman and crew in Malabero sub district, and to know
differentiation of nutrition and food sufficiency level of owner fisherman and crew in
Malabero sub district.
Determination this location reserch is done intentionally purposive.
Determining respondents of this reserch was done by applying stratified random
sampling. Technically, the data collecting had been done for 3 days ( 3 X
observation). The research result above shows that the frequency of eating for both, the ship
owners and crew’s families in 3 times a day. The ship owners and crew’s wives, it
was known that the rate of energy and protein sufficiency was mostly in bad category.
The average rate of energy sufficiency of both shipowner’s and crew’s families in
middle criteria. The rate are 64,95 % and 64,35 %. The average rate of protein
sufficiency of owner’s families is higher than the ship crew’s ones. The rate are
73,58 % and 69,81 %. This is as the result of variative food consuming of the owner’s
families. They eat food higherly enriched with protein.
The comparison of both ship owners and crews families rate of food
sufficiency. The rate of food and nutrition sufficiency ( energy and protein ) of both
ship owners and crews families have no diffences.
