study consisted of 2 (two) class. Class V and V b as a control and
experiment in SD Negri 22 Argamakmur. The experimental group was given
instruction to read the text by using the powerpoint running text, while the
control group not given. Both groups were measured using a test speed of
reading a text passage. The results show an interaction between time (before
and after the experiment) and ULC (experiment - control) interaction suggests
change pre to post scores in both groups showed significant differences, with
F = 21.835 (P <0.01) was means that the media runs the given text
powerpoint can increase the speed of students with a donation reading
effectiveness by 50% (fifty percent). Instructional media by using the current
text powerpoint influenced by gender, with the speed of reading is more
dominated by female students. These results suggest implikatif to school
