Abstract
Employee performance was taken from “job performance” or “actual performance”
(work achievement or the real achievement reached by employee). Another definition given of
performance is the completion of work. Yet, work performance has wider mean, it’s not only
work completion but also how is a work being done. Researcher chose “the analysis of employee
performance in Public Service Unit of district offices in Bengkulu” because citizens think that
the performance of employee in Public Service Unit is low and couldn’t accomplish citizens’
expectation. This research aims to seek the picture of employee performance at district offices in
Bengkulu. The indicators of employee performance at district offices in Bengkulu are: the
quality of work, the quantity of work, timeliness, responsibility and employee cooperation
(teamwork).
Method used in this research is qualitative descriptive approach, while data collection
techniques used in this research is questionnaire and interview. The result of this research shows
that the employee performance in Public Service Unit of district offices in Bengkulu is quite
good although they still got complain from citizens.
