Abstract
This research aimed to find out the types of classroom interaction and the most
dominant types of classroom interaction applied during EFL Speaking Class in
6
th semester English Study Program Students at the University of Bengkulu.
This research use descriptive quantitative research method. The population
was study were 6
th semester students of the English Language Study Program
for the 2021/2022 academic year at Bengkulu University and the sample were
82 students. The data were collected from online questionnaire consisting of
23 questions. The result of this study showed that there were 3 classroom
interaction types applied during EFL speaking class namely teacher to the
whole class, students to the whole class and groups to the whole class. Among
the three classroom interaction types, students center of the class was the most
dominant type with the percentage is 361%. It is suggested that the next
researcher can conduct a further study about analysis of classroom interaction
on the other classes like listening, reading or writing class.
