Abstract

This study is aimed to find out of quality Final School Exam Items on English Subjects at
SMP N 15 Kota Bengkulu in Academic Year 2020/2021. In quantitative, namely to analyze
the proportions of final school previewed by bloom taxonomy and the terms of the level of
difficulty, discrimination power, and distractor efficiency. This study was designed as
descriptive quantitative research because the data obtained in this study are in the form of
numbers and this study is not to accept or reject the hypothesis, but rather to explain the
existing conditions according to the circumstances of the items in the Final Test question
examined. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques. Data analysis in the
form of item analysis was carried out using the Anates version 4.0.9 program. After analyzing
the data the researcher found 50 multi-choice Final School Exam Items On English Subject At
SMP N 15 Kota Bengkulu in Academic Year 2018/2019 were reviewed from: a). The result
of research and data analysis based on Taxonomy Bloom on Final School Exam Test Items on
English Subject at SMPN 15 Bengkulu City in Academic Year 2021/2022 showed that from
50 multiple choice questions there are 11 items (22%) category Remembering (C1), 24 items
(48%) category understanding (C2), 9 items (18%) category applying (C3), 5 items (10%)
category analyzing(C4), 0 items (0%) category evaluating (C5), and 1 item (2%) category
creating (C6) b) The level of difficulty was 0 item very difficult, 0 items difficult, 13 items
(26%) desirable, 15 items (30%) easy, and 22 items (44%) very easy. c) The discrimination
power was 17 items (34%) very poor, 19 items (38%) poor, 10 items (20%) satisfactory, 4
items (8%) good, and 0 items (0%) excellent. d) The distractor efficiency was 0 items (0%)
very good, 0 items (0%) good, 6 items (12%) average, 44 items (88%) poor, and 0 items (0%)
very poor. Thus it can be concluded that the Final School Exam Items On English Subject at
SMPN 15 Kota Bengkulu in Academic Year 2020/2021 is good enough. This study implies
that a question that is not good should be replaced with a new question, a question that is not
good needs to be revised to be used again, and a good question can be entered into the
question bank.
