Abstract
This research aimed at finding out wether teaching with songs able to improve
students’ vocabulary mastery. The method used in this research is quantitative
while the design is Pre-experimental research, collecting the data by
observation and test. Determining the sample using whole population or total
sampling and to find out the result of this research the researcher used one
Kolmogorov Smirnov test. This research results show that teaching with songs
has no significant effect on students’ vocabulary mastery. From the calculation,
the mean from the Pre-test is 46 and Post-test is 57. Regarding the result of this
research is there are no significant effects the researcher proposes some
suggestions such as songs that already applied in this research is not able to
imrove students vocabulry especially the school that located in the citysides, it
is casued by many things one of the main ones is this research occured for just
one time and the songs that perhaps the researcher didn’t present the song in
video just in audio and lyrics.
