IMPLEMENTASI PENELITIAN PEMBIMBING KEMASYARAKATAN PADA PROSES PENYIDIKAN PERKARA PIDANA ANAK DI POLRESTA BENGKULU

This research aims to determine the legal regulations regarding parole and
probation officer research towards the children who are in conflict with the law based
on laws in Indonesia and investigate the implementation of the parole and probation
officer research in the process of investigating child criminal cases at Bengkulu City
Resort Police. In an effort to provide appropriate protection and rehabilitation for children
involved in the criminal justice system, community counselor plays an important role in
providing the necessary assistance, guidance and supervision. This research uses
descriptive-prescriptive research with non-doctrinal method in order to gain an in-depth
understanding of the research practices by parole and probation officer in the process of
investigating child criminal cases. Data was obtained through interviews with community
counselors, police officers, and through analysis of documents related to policies and
regulations regarding child protection in the criminal justice system. The results of the
research show that legal regulations regarding community counselor research towards the
children in conflict with the law have been mandated in Law no. 11 of 2012 concerning
the Juvenile Criminal Justice System and many other supporting regulations. The
implementation of research practices by parole and probation officer Police is applied
through steps namely a. planning step; b.data-seeking step; c.contructing research;
d.internal group discussion; e.finishing the research and send it to the asking party.
