Credibility has two main components: trust and expertise, both of which have objective and subjective components. Trust is based more on subjective factors, but can include objective measurements such as established reliability. The
influence of the @bengkuluinfo account is one of them to meet the high needs of the community, especially the Bengkulu city area in providing information known
as citizen journalism which is directly utilized by students. The purpose of this study was to look at the credibility of the @bengkuluinfo Instagram account as a
source of information for Bengkulu University Journalism Students. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that 3 informants are in the dominant reader position (dominant-hegemonic position), 2 informants are in the negotiated reader category (negotiated code/position), and 1 informant is in the oppositional reader
(oppositional code/position) so that the data is concluded that the @bengkuluinfo Instagram account is considered credible as a source of information in the perception of Bengkulu University Journalism students.
