Abstract
Mosquito control as a disease vector can be done with various efforts, for example by reducing the population or breaking the life cycle. One of the insecticide media is in the form of solids (mat) and liquids by utilizing electric current that will convert heat into steam. This study aims to formulate an electric mosquito repellent puck containing 96% ethanol extract of durian skin and to determine the best physical properties. Electric anti-mosquito puck formula was made with three papers, namely HVS paper, newspaper, and cardboard with variations in extract concentrations F0 (0%) and F1 (25%). Durian peel extract was obtained from maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. Evaluation of the observed mat electric, namely organoleptical evaluation, resulted in white HVS mat, gray newspaper, brown cardboard, odorless, with a flat surface and good mat hardness. Evaluation of density, burning time, and moisture content of the best newsprint obtained, namely, (F1 Newspaper) has the highest density of 1.451gram / cm3 with a burning time (F1 Newspaper) for 1 hour 55 minutes 30 seconds, and the moisture content in the puck (F1 Newspaper) is 55% which shows the extract is absorbed better.
