GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN SISWA TENTANG PENYAKIT GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH DIBERIKAN EDUKASI AUDIO VISUAL DI SMPN 21 BENGKULU TENGAH

Incidence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) has increased, including among
adolescents. A lack of knowledge among students about CKD poses a risk of
promoting unhealthy habits. Health education through audio-visual media is
considered effective in enhancing students' understanding of this disease. The
purpose of this study wasto assess the level of student knowledge about CKD before
and after receiving audio-visual education at SMPN 21 Center Bengkulu. The
research method employed a quantitative descriptive approach with a total
sampling of 81 students. The research instruments included questionnaires and
audio-visual educational media. The results showed that before the audio-visual
education was provided, the majority of respondents (67.9%) had a knowledge level
categorized as sufficient. After the education, the level of knowledge significantly
increased, with 82.7% of respondents falling into the good category. The conclusion
of this study is that the level of student knowledge improved after receiving audio�visual education. It is recommended that students apply the information they have
gained in their daily lives, such as maintaining a healthy diet and drinking
plenty of water.
