STUDI DESKRIPTIF PERANAN KEPALA SEKOLAH MENJALANKAN MANAJEMEN BERBASIS SEKOLAH DALAM PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI BUDAYA SEKOLAH DI SDN 82 KOTA BENGKULU

This study aims to determine the role of the principal in carrying out
school-based management to improve character education in schools
through school culture in SDN 82 Kota Bengkulu. This research is a
qualitative descriptive study. To get the data needed in this study,
researchers used interview and documentation methods. Where the subject
is the vice principal and the head teacher of the character education
program in the school. The data collection technique used is source
triangulation technique. The results showed that the principal as a manager
in the school plays a very important role where the principal conducts
planning, organizing, transferring and controlling so that the character
improvement program can run effectively and efficiently. So that the
objectives of the character education program can be achieved optimally.
From the results of this study it can be concluded that the principal has a
very important role in the achievement of character education in schools by
maximizing managerial functions in schools.
