ANALISIS KETERKAITAN KESETARAAN GENDER DENGAN PEREKONOMIAN DAERAH (Studi Kasus Pada Pemerintah Kabupaten Mukomuko)

The purpose of this study was to determine the linkage of gender equality in
education, health and employment by economic daearah Mukomuko district. This
study uses secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and other
documents. The method used is the method of literature study, observation.
The results showed that there was no linkage simultaneously gender equality in
education, health and employment in the economy daearah Mukomuko district.
On the health side, the life expectancy of females is higher than the male
population are affected by differences in healthy lifestyles and activities of the
women and men differently. Health development in the District Mukomuko have
touched women. Gender equality benefits women, and beneficial to society as a
whole. The pattern of thought, behavior, culture, and policies that have
discriminated against women needs to be changed. Restrict women's access to
resources, education, health and employment will reduce, hinder local economic
development. Gender equality is not only limited to economic purposes only.
Gender equality is a form of respect for human rights while empowering the
population, male and female, to gain access to, participate in, have control and get
the same benefits in the development
In a development perspective, the importance of gender equality is not just
economic, gender equality is a form of respect for human rights while
empowering people both men and women.
